Health and Wellness is one of the big design trends that we will be seeing a lot of in 2023, both in building design and also in interior furnishing and decor.
Wellness is a hot topic and self-care is one of the keys to improving wellbeing. With that in mind we will be seeing more homes that have space to relax and items that help us to feel a little pampered and also that give both a feeling of comfort and luxury.
Beautiful textures and curves to soften the edges and comfort us are set to make a comeback as well as more sustainable products such as reclaimed timbers.
Outdoor-Inspired furniture will be trending, particularly local products with a feel for the local scenery. We are lucky on the mid-north coast to boast both ocean and mountain ranges for a variety of looks and colours to inspire our furniture and furnishings.
Another trend coming through is moving away from the more structured minimalist style homes and into homes with a bit more colour and fun, with a comeback of more decorative styles such as art deco pieces bringing curves and bright colours to excite the senses.
Rugs being used as functional artworks will be trending as we remove some of the unnecessary décor, this will give our spaces a boost of colour, pattern and texture while still keeping the home space simple.
